New Firearms Training Facility at Black Rock Quarry

A new build dedicated fire arms training facility for Avon & Somerset Police Authority

• 50m & 100m Firing Ranges and Tactics House Training Enclosure
• Armoury and weapons storage areas
• Changing Areas
• Classrooms
• Office areas for support staff

Design works included;

• General MEP services design for the facility
• Specialist firing range MEP design to meet NPIA Handbook of Range Safety
• Low Carbon design maximizing the use of high efficiency heat pumps, solar power and heat recovery.

ESD were responsible for full detail design in line with Police Building Design Guides and from an outline MEP specification provided by the Blue Light Partnership.
